Realistic Vs. Over-The-Top Physics

This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

@ff
I am not meaning HL2.
HL2 is just a FPS.

I mean games like Frontier or Entropy, where thay are open ended, have impresive realism, impresive gameplay, and impresive gameworld.
Not just 100k map, but a whole full universe consisting of billions of infinte galaxys.

HL2 rocks man, I have personally seen it in action. Nice blood and gore, people flying through the air and being impaled on sharp ojects from explosions, the gravity gun flinging radiators and anything not tied down through the air.

It's realistic physics, in an obsessive, over the top way.

what about physics in space sims? Over the top, or realistic?

IMO, you can't have realistic physics in space-sims and keep it fun. In every other genre yes, but a game modelled on 3-hour turning circles would not sell many copies

...a game modelled on 3-hour turning circles would not sell many copies..
Isn't that one of the features of D*r*k Sm*rt's new game?
