Atlantis Found!....again...

I'm not sure I buy into the whole Atlantis deal, but I do like history on ancient Greece. What is this? Like the 50th place they've found Atlantis to be?

Or perhaps Plato was being metaphorical. The utopia of Atlantis was a city deepwithin all of us, until society sank it beneath the sea of evil.

Plato relates Atlantis as a country that "...was governed in peace, was rich in commerce, was advanced in knowledge..."

Oh yeah...that's Alabama...how could I miss the simliarities...

nah you had it right the first time ...bama is NOT even possible...i have NO idea why that was in that article...it was humorus though

Whats next? they gonna say it is in teh biggest lake here in florida "Lake Ocachobbee" (or however it is spelt)....then they can blame us for the sinking of atlantis too lol

I heard about that not long ago. Apparently they found a "man-made wall" near Cyprus. That is what is supposed to prove that Atlantis was once there *rolls eyes*

Wiz - Sort of, some people think that Plato's Atlantis was more of an ideal that humanity should, but won't, achieve. That's pretty much my line of thinking too.
