I got a GMail!

This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

FYI There are some very interesting points made at this Web Page regarding privacy etc... I'm not trying to stir the pot in any way. Just following the thread with interest and did some reasearch.

@aj, In terms of privacy, that has been a conclusion from the get go. Being on the internet, waves a certain amount of privacy any way. The more you surf, the less you have. So the answer? Discression, in what you write/send, wisdom in who you send it to. It was the same way with cordless phones years ago. You could listen to them with a scanner and hear every thing. I saw that in action myself. But I also used discresstion in what I said over a cordless too.

All sites have a privacy statement in place to one degree or another, but it is your choice in what you chose to do. Bottom line, you can always stay in the non-tech world and send letters the old fashon way, and limit you exopsure to The Tech aspect to a min. but, you will be more isolated, that isn't feasable, but it is a choice.

I've read the first few paragraphs Aj, and this is not personal (it is when you wrote it) but what a crappy article. Like the US goverment would care about my emails. Heck, I'd even send them my mails if they want. There are people who whine about everything

@Wizard I was in no way supporting the "articles" contentions, just bringing them to light, as I stated in my original posting.

@Final Thanks for the linky.

Now, does anyone else, that has Gmail, use a client with it? I got Thunderbird to work with it, and love having the breakdown of messages better. they arn't stacked up on each other like in Gmail. You can't seperate them n gmail, at least not yet. :
