State Championships Video

This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

State Championships Video

I just figured I'd post this thinking some people might enjoy this. In short this is what I've been involved in since the begining of June of this year. My band is Nortview in Class B and we did take home the state championship. We put many many hours into that and, not saying anything against the other bands, I think it was well deserved.
Our music was based off of the Matrix triligy with original music written by Frank Sullivan. Him, John Vanderkof, and our director Bob Medworth were the "architects" of this year show. For those of you that dont know Sullivan or Vanderkof they both work with big time motion pictures and Vanderkof is one of the folks involved with the show BLAST.

Thats about it, I hope you enjoy the videos. 10 bands in each class for state. The champions in each class have their full video of 7+ minutes loaded up.

@Matt- I know you've probably posted this before, but what instrument do you play. I havent had a chance to look at your vid yet since im on dial up, but my marching band season just finished up about a week or so ago (high school). Are you in drum corps or school ensemble? Our show this year was "This American Life" ( a far cry from our 100 yrs of flight show last year, but still cool) with music from Copland, Bernstien, Piston and other American composers. An interesting experience. Shame there aren't more band geeks here on TLR...

I play the clarinet and every type of saxaphone (minus bari) that there is. Our band is just a high school band, not drum core calibur.
We were really hoping to go on the BOA and compete in nationals but we just didnt have the time or the money to go on the extra amount of time. All of the judges from state told us we would of came out AA National Champions and probably would of placed in the top 12 in the country.

For rules by ISSMA I cant tell you the exact spread of the final scores from state, but I can say it was a very nice margin.
