More Lego Freelancer on the way! Updated 11/19/04 With More

This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

More Lego Freelancer on the way! Updated 11/19/04 With More

Just wanted to let you all know that my projects with lego freelancer ships aren't at an end. I'm well on my way to finishing the first prototype of the Lego Anubis, expect to see pictures in a day or two.

can't wait

@Gromit- The first ones should still be in a thread called "Lego Freelancer" posted awhile back. Somebody do some grave digging and bring it back up to the top for us all to see. Now for the rest of you, here comes the Anubis! A small amount of photo editing has been done for pieces that were not the color I wanted in the origional model, these changes should be barely noticeable. The detailing on the canopy was done using masking tape. There is no turret on this model as of yet, since i can't find an effective design for it. There are three torpedo launchers, as intended origionally, one under each wing and one under the nose. Please keep in mind this is only a 1st model, feel free to express any criticism you like, and I will try and incorporate it into the next production. Thanks!

Okay. That's it. Consider me inspired. I'm off to build a, um, hmmmm....

Aha! A Piranha. I'll post a pic or two once I'm done (god knows when that'll be ).

Heaven knows I have enough Lego bricks to build anything, but do I have the time.... If I could build an eagle that would be awesome, but I don't think its gonna happen.

Give it a try- you'll find it quite fun (building lego freelancer ships that is). This model (I forgot to mention) also has a multi-position cockpit (it bends down concord-style, I wasn't sure which looked best.) I'll try and get some more detailed pictures up soon.

Nice going JD. After you've done some more ships and things, maybe you coudl some more cut scenes?

Post Wed Nov 10, 2004 6:27 pm

Ok guys, i went gravedigging and (at the risk of getting the mods mad at me) got that old Lego Freelancer thread up here

Post Wed Nov 10, 2004 8:32 pm

@ SGC Jack- You'll notice I placed the link for that old thread in my previous post

@Indy- I'd be glad to do some cutscenes (I found hair for trent of the appropriate color), I just need suggestions of which ones to do (you want to see funny one's I'm guessing). Post some and I'll see what I can do. Its been a while since i've played FL story missionsand my saved games have flown the coop ( had to delete them for causing problems with some mods). If you could send me one at the requested scene to [email protected] then it would really be helpful so I can get the scenes modeled correctly.

@Jabez- I am somewhat offended by your comment, though I will take it in stride. I was asking for suggestions on the model, not my choice of hobbies. I'm just trying to give something back to the great folks here at TLR that have done so much.

lay of J Dawg jabez, this stuffs always cool. maybe slightly esoteric, but still, it takes a knack to use legos to actually make something cool.

ROFL - i remember the days like 1 year and 6-8 month ago where Reven (the creator of teh cmp exporter) built a lego "Excelcia" with his son and then made it pilotable in FL - initially for Khaosprime, then for teh Excelcia server.
good memories. a pity that i havent saved his "development" pics
it looked great.

@ Jabez - If you feel the need to put "...so don't get mad at me." at the end of a post, stop and think for a second if it's really such a good idea to post it in the first place. Just some friendly advice. (Especially when you consider the fact that originally I was just going to tell you to go play in traffic. )

@ J Dawg - Oops, was that really there before I spent 15 minutes looking for that old thread? lol
