The Elite Musical

I found a link of an Elite site,
With all the music from the games in mp3 format.

Anyone interested:

The Elite music also includs some old time best classical musics of all times such as "Great Gates of Kiev" and "Blue Danube" etc...

But there is also some classical "modern" music from 1992-1995 by the "Quality Quartet" That is related to Frontier First Encounters and Frontier Elite 2.

I esspecialy liked the music "Atmosphere",
And also i liked "In the Hall of the Mountain King".

All music files contained within the 'Game Music' sections of dream-ware.net are under copyright and are probably illegal to download. If any of the copyright owners wish me to cease distribution of these files, I will do so immediatly

i personally never played elite. will check out some of them later probably.

oh and erm, i see a shadow growing on the grass of this thread... the sound of metal through air.. the hinge squeaking...

I didnt enjoyed Elite I enjoyed more FFE and FE2.

I'm a massive Elite fan as you all know (the original that is), but I don't see the point in this website or this thread for that matter....the majority of the pieces of music from Elite were famous classical pieces that had been MIDIed up....most of the choices were based around Stanley Kubrick's 2001:A Space Odyssey, so just go and buy the CD!

Fair enough if you enjoy listening to the 15 year old MIDI "original pieces" (which imho didn't stand the test of time in all of their 8 channel glory) - but for things like the Blue Danube and such like, I see no point whatsoever.

Thanks Aniso, but I'm afraid I don't share your enthusiasm for "entropy"....I've seen a hundred of these sorts of things....and have been let down a hundred times.

I'll just be sticking with the original until Elite 4 comes around methinks....

As Eth said, this project is mostly 90% or 95% finished.

And probably will be relesed this year.

Through it is not an Elite remake.
Its a game of its own, who will capture the feel and gameplay dynamics of Elite and also combin them with Hardwar's planetry gameplay, etc...

Even if you leave a planet you'll encounter many kind of very diffrent events.
