Upcoming films

in the last 2 months of the year, all the christmas films are going to start seeping out. Time was for the last 3 years at this time i'd be getting all excited about the thought of an upcoming Lord of the Rings installment, will our christmasses be the same again? What christmasly timed or just upcoming films are you guys looking forward to catching, on TV, DVD or at the multiplex.

I'm itching to see:
Garden State - Zach braff comedy i'd sell my mother to get tickets to.
Coffee And Cigarettes - Conversational comedy with more famous dudes than you can shake an awards ceremony at.
Birth - Nicole Kidman's dead husband is reincarnated in child form.
Hour of flying daggers - More chinese wuxia fighting with inhumanly attractive Ziyi Zhang.
i (heart) huckabees - Existentialist comedy which might be level pegging with Garden State.
Napolean Dynamite - I have NO idea what this film is about...i just hear i have to see it.

So what does anyone else wanna see. Not films that MIGHT exist 10 years down the line, not films that are in pre-production. i mean finished films that will be hitting screens in the next few months, if not out already.

I've seen Napoleon Dynamite.

One of the funniest movies I've seen in a long time. It's not outright humor like an American Pie movie or Rob Schnieder movies, but it's still hilarious. There are a couple of scenes where you just laugh your butt off.

Sounds good to me! But I always thought it was Zhang Ziyi

Ummmm. I can't think of anything else that really piques my curiosity. I generally don't like ostensibly intelligent movies. I do plenty of thinking elsewhere so I tend to like big, stupid and overproduced movies (Bad Boys 2, anyone?).

Zhang Ziyi if you wish to observe the Asian way of saying a persons name by starting with the surname. Ziyi Zhang if you wish to say the name in conformity with western conventons of surname last.

I really want to see Coffee and Cigarettes, but I've got a horrible feeling its going to be one of those movies that my local multiplex skips (or maybe it already has been skipped - I'm not sure). The cast just looks awesome, and its all about conversation, so its absolutely my kinda movie.

Would be nice if the multiplex allowed me to smoke during it though, I imagine it would be a b*tch to watch as a smoker in a non-smoking environment.
