Twinkies are a mass produced lady finger like cake. Two to a pack. Inside the cake is a "creamy" filling which, in reality is a whipped hydrogenated fat with lots of sugar and with some vanilla-like flavoring added.

Before the onset of cardiovascular health worries, rather than hydrogenated fat, they used lard whipped with sugar and vanilla-like flavoring.

The closest thing we get over here in rainy ol' blighty is Ben & Jerry's Ice Cream. Chocolate Brownies, chocolate ice cream, chocolate chip cookie dough, and vanilla ice cream...

Bah! You should try some of *my* desserts. "Bitter Chocolate" cheesecake (my specialty), "Mango and Lime" cheesecake (excellent on hot summer days), passionfruit mousse, sponge cake with cream and rosehip jam... the list goes on
