Psst.. don''t tell Gabe!

This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

that Commonwealth thing? thing? *sputters indignantly*

listen, rebellious colonial, once you get north of the border (St Lawrence river in your case) you're in the Dominion of Canada, with Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II as head of state, and the Armed Forces and Govt of which owe their allegiance to the Crown.

therefore, my side in international law

derailing threads so quickly and effortlessly is a real art, Wiz. besides what are you doing up and about at nearly 1'o'clock in-the-am, dutchy time? oh btw I'm going to send you a pic of Sushi cos i weighed him today and he's now as big as Ci-Ci (even more useless but not as fluufy) and you haven't seen him since he was tiny kitten sleeping on my desk.

anyways i don't believe ANY HL2 news whatsoever now; I'll believe it when I see it on the shelves in Taws'R'Us, and not before. All speculation is just that - speculation. We went through all this before and i abs refuse to get even remotely excited about it after last time which i strongly suspect was a complete fake staged by Valve.

Gee. I wonder if I should buy HL (1) now to see what all the hyperbole is about.

Post Wed Oct 13, 2004 11:17 pm

I *really* hope you're joking. missing out on SL I can unsderstand, but HL?

you are joking aren't you?

half life one had me addicted for months

Poor old Indy. He's missed out on so much in life. Well at least by not playing HL he escaped the "CS" trap .

For a minute I thought we were on about Halo 2... forgive me...

The game looks amazing, shall definitely look it up when it comes out...

No Taw. I'm not joking. I am not, how shall we say it, that well versed in games much less "experienced."

@Esqy, half right. I mean. I DO have a life outside of PC games but I also quite enjoy playing PC games.

You can add me to the list of people who haven't played HL. I only started gaming fairly recently and never really got around to geting myself a copy. I just might now though. I have to wonder if it'll run on my computer though...stupid piece of garbage. *grumbles*

@Taw - You have cats? I love cats! I really should upload some pictures of Gerry onto Photobucket.

Major Update, the Game itself has been leaked!!!

Link Don't you just love it?

Post Thu Oct 14, 2004 9:27 am

Well..... if it has been leaked then it actually exists. At least in XBOX form. That's possibly some small comfort given the vapor trails on this game.

Code, HL, will run on very marginal kit. i first ran it on a P1-233 with 32meg RAM and an 8mb non-accelerated S3 video card, in 640x480 software mode. it looked kak but i could play it. Opposing Force will run on the same but Blue Shift needs more because of the graphics expansion pack.

anything better than 400mhz, 64mb RAM and 32mb graphics will run them all fine.

it's still widely available in shops and there's no reason for anyone not have played this landmark game.
