Superman has died!

This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

There was nothing syntactically wrong with my statement Indy. It's a bit verbose, but it was late when I composed it .

Christopher Reeve played superman in the movies, while George Reeves played superman in an older TV series. Sadly, both are gone now.

The man will be missed. There is a memorial now set up at his star on the walk of fame.He has brought a great deal of joy to us in life, a great deal of sadness in his passing. He will be missed................AZAR

He was a great man who did a lot of good for a lot of disabled people and tirelessly campained for research to be done in the contraversial area of Stem-Cell research. He will be missed

I remember his acting not so much for the Superman films but for his lesser known parts in films such as Deathtrap, Somewhere in Time (better than it first appears) The Bostonians and The Sea Wolf. he also appeared in Firefox as a q convincing Russian officer (his part diluted by the script though) and was he not in a remake of Anthony Schaffer's "Sleuth"

@Esqy.... so..... you like howChristopher Reeve promoted spinal chord injuries?

IBT

Post Tue Oct 12, 2004 11:51 am

52? isnt that a little young to die of heart problems?
many would expect heart problems at the age of 70

Post Tue Oct 12, 2004 11:59 am

52 isn't too late to die of heart problems. i have a heart problem and i'm erm younger than that. also Mr reeve has spent the last 10 years unable to move, therefore no exercise and suffering from circulatory problems because of the pressure of his own body. thats why paraplegics have to be turned over several times a day.

He was superb in the remake of Village of the Damned

*Shakes head* What's your point Indy? I appreciate the way in which he promoted, that is to say, publicised the serious and irreversible nature of the condition. Stop pulling my chain!

Post Wed Oct 13, 2004 7:24 am

Your literal statement may be taken to mean that he promoted the existence of spinal chord injuries, as in, everyone should try it!

By contextual inference, one must assume that you didn't mean that but.... not necessarily.

*drops chain*

that would be kusari

Post Wed Oct 13, 2004 12:02 pm

OK. *Drops kusari* then.

Yes. The weapon, a kusari gama is, in essence a "chain scythe."
