Adds Adds Adds, me thinks me head is going to explode

This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

ye but i think its going overboard, if you want to buy something why not just go to the store and look or go to a company website? i mean not all f us need glasses if we are looking for em were looking but if were not were not!

Without adverts you would have no comp games to play, no tv to watch, and no products to use. If people cannot be told about things, then they won'y buy/use them - at which point nothing will make any money.

Imagine releasing a computer game without any prior advertistment. It just wouldn't catch on! I would not even know about the net if it weren't for adverts etc.

Whilst overkill of them can be annoying, they are necessary - I would be unemployed if the bank i work for never got new customers!

Hey, the masses are ignorant. Sue them for realising it, why don't you? I personally like some advertising, so long as it's witty (or contains scantily clad women.).

ye beer adds are good :p

@chips okay i see your point but i timed a simpson episode running for 1/2 a hour, 13 minutes of it were the show!!

Ah, that reminds me of my trip to ol' Aussieland. In one episode of the Simpsons, we had 3 ad breaks! 3! Fortunately, we have the BBC in this country, so we get two channels of ad-free goodness.

Ye gods, am I glad I'm not Canadian. We have ads every 15 mins in this country, so 1 (3-5 minute long) break in a half-hour program.

not just canada, parts of america are worse

Aod

mind you, we only get TWO ad-free channels
on channel 5, there are ads every 13 seconds

on channel 5, there are ads every 13 seconds

Thats because the ads are better than the programs on five

There are a lot of them and are really annoying, but they are required. To agree with corsair, if they are intelligent and witty (Carlsburg ads and the 2 kids that do the vauxhall ads) then i like them. For some reason i love the IBM ads we have. I just cry everytime anyone of them is on.

"Whats that?"
"Its a Blade"
"Whats a Blade"
"Its a Server"
"Its a server?"
"Yes"
"Where are all the wires?"
"In the blade center"
"In the Blade center?"
"Yes"
".....Whats a Blade?"
"You gotta be kidding me?

Lol, hilarious

adverts were better when i was a boy. Cadbury's Smash Aliens, R Whites Lemonade, Green Cross Code man, the Tufty Club, and the Shake'n'Vac woman *sniff* classic stuff, sadly missed.

I'm a secret lemonade drinker.

yeah I agree. capitalist society revolves around ads. the only thing anyone can do to keep from going insane is ignore them. Pretend flat-out they don't exist.
