Can''t find the DVD Recorder!

This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

My thought, Fd, was if you flashed to make it a 2500AD, it also may resolve your current non-read problem. Sort of along the lines of when you flash your bios, the whole bios is re-written.

Well, it talks of doing it in dos, andXP has no dos. What then would be the method and procedure for it.

Bootable floppy disk (which still is DOS) with flash file executable enabled in the autoexc.bat, like the old fashioned way that you would flash the bios with a floppy.

XP will format your floppy as a bootable disk.

Never done Bios, never found a need to. I may have to seek local help on this. This is one area of computers I have never explored and am not sure of myself at all. I have heard of the horrors of attempting to flash bios and all goes wrong. That and I'm in a good funk right now. Only good thing so far is the writting. Not slowed it down any. I'm even working on another story as well.

Well, I've flashed bios this way a number of times with no ill effects but Taw would be the first to tell of the downside issues involved.

In this case, it is just the DVD drive which you've already partially written off. But, yeah, may as well go slow and carefully. No sense jumping into it if you're heart's not in it.

I really do apreciate the help Indy. I may give it a go later, or maybe this weekend. Been down a little today and am distracted a little.
