Milking the cow dry
This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

I just read that Lucas is going to make the DVD set, the only ones now. It will be the "Updated" ones with additional footage and all. The origianl, in theater ones will die. And, it was saying, he wanted to tinker with the others, like in Jedi, adding Haydens face instead of the other actor when luke takes the mask off vader.

Wait, Taw, what was that movie again? I seem to have a memory from my really younger days of some movie that had ewoks (and I think the millenium falcon) in it that wasn't Star wars, but I've never been able to place it. It's always bothered me. As for the whole saga ordeal, when they show all nine in a monster marathon on some station, I'll be there all day watching it, and I'm sure I'm not alone. --- VH16

Well Fd, you are right about those DVD's. As you all know, September 21 is the day the original Star Wars Trilogy will be released on DVD and yes, they have been tinkered with yet again....
But it's not entirely as Fd says... Hayden did make it now to Return of the Jedi, but not when Luke takes the mask off, but only as the 'ghost jedi' appearance next to Yoda and Obi-Wan. Why? Because Lucas felt that he should show the 'young' Anakin because that was the last time he was still 'good' so to say, so as a 'ghost jedi', he goes back to that point. Next thing Lucas changed was the other actor who played the holographic emperor in TESB, he replaced him with Ian McDiarmid and he also changed all the spoken lines from Boba Fett into the voice of the guy who played Jango Fett, as Boba is a clone of him, he should sound as Jango as well is what Lucas said about that. The Han Solo with Jabba the Hutt sequence in ANH has yet again been redone, trying to get it more 'real' this time and the Han vs Greedo scene has been tweaked as well (they almost shoot simultaneously now). Also some lightsabers have been tweaked (some have a bit more color now) and they've added Naboo in the end (party) sequence in ROTJ. That's the changes I can remember, but there are probably some more....

Caravan of Courage: An Ewok Adventure
plot summary
(this won't take long)
The Towani family civilian shuttlecraft crashes on the forest moon of Endor. The four Towani's are separated. Jermitt and Catarine, the mother and father are captured by the giant Gorax, and Mace and Cindel, the son and daughter, are missing when they are captured. The next day, the Ewok Deej is looking for his two sons when they find Cindel all alone in the shuttle (Mace and Cindel were looking for the transmitter to send a distress call), when Mace appears with his emergency blaster. Eventually, the four-year old Cindel is able to convince the teenage Mace that the Ewoks are nice. Then, the Ewoks and the Towani's go on an adventure to find the elder Towanis.

Money to burn?
firstly, i'm choosing to take this with a pinch of salt. Until i hear it from the big man there's still possibility that this will crash and burn in development hell.
secondly, listen to the hamill again, he says nothing about signing onto doing any new trillogy but says about WAY BACK when they were making episode 4, lucas tells him about his plans for the series. Its an anecdote related to some fan question about any new episodes, not an admission of a new trillogy.

Here is a CNN article that lists the five "major" changes in the DVD edition of Star Wars. I don't know about some of them *shakes head sadly*.
I don't give a s**t about the changes they made for the DVD version. The fact that the Classic Trilogy is even on DVD is enough to make ME happy. Oh, and to all those complaining about the changes made to these movies: What can you about it, except not buy it? Not a goddamn thing. These are LUCAS'S movies, not yours. These are the versions that HE wanted to put out. Stop b**ching already. If you don't like what he's done to these movies, don't buy them. Simple as that.
