@rec: sure F451, i was just giving 2 examples of, im sure there's more than a few references to these dystopian works.
and yeah, that last fight where they keep knocking their guns to one side is my fave of the entire movie. Its worth listening to the DVD comentary as well, the director really wanted to make his film his way and really describes the passion he has for everything about it, in light of the bad reviews it subsequently got.

This movie is great! Normally I despise corny Rambo-esqe movies but this one is so funny. My favourite scene is where two guys are holding shotguns to the main guy's head. But suddenly his hands fly up and flip the shotguns around so they are in his hands (sounds whack I know but you really have to see it to understand) and fires into them. For some reason, all the baddies have long black coats and black motocycle helmets. It's brilliant only for the cool scenes where he flicks guns around and takes out like 20 guys by himself. Lol, it's hilarious

one of the better movies i have seen, i reckon the best fighting bit is the bit in the nether with the shotguns.
@everyone who's seen it:
remember the bit at the top of the Tetragrammaton tower? where Preston is talking to that vice council guy and he yells: 'ARE YOU PLAYING WITH ME CLERIC?'
that told me that he could feel, because, if he couldnt, he wouldnt have gotton angry, and thus, wouldnt have yelled.
