Invader Zim

Invader Zim

I usually never watch cartoons, the exceptions to this are Futurama, Family Guy and occasionally The Simpsons. But this isnt a thread about these shows, its about a cartoon called "Invader Zim" Its about a small alien and his robot trying to overtake/destroy earth. Albeit I do believe its a childrens show, I really really like it, it has kinda dark humor and references to more adult things strewn about it. Besides its just really damn funny. Its done in a moody, dark color everything is very depressingly colored had it not been for the on-screen action, would love to buy it on DVD, anyone watched it or have any things to say about it?

PS: Its made by Johnen Vasquez, creator of the comics "Squee" and "Johnny The Homicidal Maniac"

i must say i loved that show!
i especially loved how the school building had "skool" on it

its too bad it didnt get good enough ratings. they just dumped it into their channel for abandoned cartoons.

Gir, yeah the little messed up robot hehe. I love the way all the humans are done in such a wierd and strange way, like the old people in the retirement home that look like their all stitched together hehe.

yea i especially loved that first episode where zim gets Gur/Gir/Ger
lol they took an old robot out of a trash dumpster and put some gum and a paperclip in it for a brain.

Oh man I cant stand anime, no offence to anyone who likes it, the only one I ever liked was Cowboy Bebop and only a little bit. I cant stand the way their drawn or anything, its just something I hate.

lol, gir, yeah, he's cool. but what happened to that show?

oh and japanimation...i was a big totally spies and pokemon fanatic myself, but i've grown

wtf totally spies? i didnt think that was anime....
i like the mature anime that only appears on Adult Swim.

btws, invader zim didn't get good enough ratings so they dropped it and put it into the "nicktoons" channel...where all of their old bad rated cartoons go. and some better ones sometimes are shown there....

remember Butt Ugly Martians? that was aroudn the same time as invader zim. i liked that one too mostly because i was really interested in computer animation

Sigh either anime is porno or its some dumb kids show of course they had a kids show that was funny
