This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

@FF: Boiled raccoon poo? That's just sick! Please come back to the civilised hills of Holland

yeh I know Wiz, it's disgusting isn't it? imagine how he's gonna smell when he comes back as well, after months of drinking boiled raccoon poo! I'd quarantine him as he gets off the plane.

@sycho_warrior

Thank you. I appreciate that you would defend me against the others even if you disagree with me. But I can manage for myself.

@Others except Esquilax.

It is very interesting that, while I make comments that are taken to be over generalized and, therefore, unfair to all of you, in turn, your accusations of me contain as many generalizations as I may have made and yet it's okay because it is all in jest, a good humored joke and so not wrong.

All I have been trying to say is that finding humor in or using for humorous purposes things which in the real world place women in sub-human roles or second class or objects of sexual exploitation isn't very amusing to some women.

If you all take offense at that comment and somehow feel that I am over-generalizing and accusing you of something, maybe it is because you have done what I am objecting about but have not realized it before.

@Esquilax: If the shoe doesn't fit, don't wear it.

AELK, You don't always have to stand alone, nor do you always have to fight the battle. Some one once told me a wise thing. Pick your battles to fight and let the others go. Right or wrong, people have there views. It won't be changed over night, nor can anyone be forced to. Even though some comments may be off the mark, they are not as bad as your making them out to be. Trust me. A few month ago I posted a thread of the happenings in another country called Honor killings. A woman whose honor is questioned or tarnished would be killed. The little girl who was raped was strangled by her own father for bring dishonor to the family. They should have killed him. So, put things into prospective, a few comments aren't that bad and will harm no one. If wisdom provales, peace can calm things. That said, give it a rest on the feminism. We all understand your position, and granted, you would like to change the world, but, it will not happen over night.

@ALEK: no one here is big-upping folks who treat women badly, we're satarising the cultures that do. see, we're post modern! plus we're playing the generalisation card because it ruffles your leathery hide, its like when i place female breasts in front of loc, or run around without loosing breath in front of Taw, theres an inane drive inside me to really have a go at people because theyre different than me. maybe thats got something to do with the human condition? could be worth writing a thesis on.

incidentally, i always wanted to be a paleontologist, but figured i couldnt pull chicks talking about it at bars. Luckily my fallback plan of studying computer programming is a REAL hit with the honeys (didnt think it through at all)

This thread has flame-war written all over it.

The feminist movement is right up there with politics in my opinion. Don't bring it up here again. *click*
