And, of course, you all will say that my expression of dislike of these pictures are typically feminist nonesense. But the point I am trying to make, futilely it seems, is that making jokes about things like this where women clearly are being made to be
something less than human is degrading to women.

AELK. not all guys agree with the way women are dipicted in the picture, but in this world, it does happen. No getting away from it.

It is true that there are places in this world where women are made to be second class citizens. Just as it is true that there are parts of this world where true slavery still exists.

Why not make jokes about owning slaves then?

i have a slave, she doesnt need much, just constant ingredients for cooking and her copy of "which mop" each month.

Since you are actually posting more than once in this thread AELK, I would just like to say that I take umbrage at your constant generalisations. As Final has stated, not all those of the male gender are "chauvinistic male oppressors", or whatever you believe. I defy you to find one instance in which I have defamed or devalued women on this forum. Well, I could go on ad nauseam , but I think it's best if I leave it at that.

If you know of someone who has been hurt , I am truly sorry. Just don't let a few opinions be taken for all. I my self see all as equals, because of religious reasons. But, I don't let other views get me down or upset as I realize that there are many difference in this life and on TLR. It's one of the reasons I like it here, to see those differences and the people with them. It does not mean I always agree, but it does mean I am trying to see both sides of the coin.

Aelk, stop getting annoyed, they'll just make more fun of you. Noone in this board support that kind of treatment to women or support slavery - they just do to tease you.
