@Taw- My wife and i have planned for a couple years now to move to either Ireland or scotland hell maybe england somewhere. Mostly cause we hate the way our government is run,,,(Greedy bastards). But since it seems that it is possible that these "storms" (i call em the goddess' pms trip ), it might hasten our plans to more to one of teh afore mentioned places

and it seems Ivan will barely skirt the west coast and make its way north..(not holding my breath) but the forcasters suck at predicting the paths. Either way the MAJOR damaging stuff is at lleast 180 miles away at all times for the storm...just a little wind and rain..(like we need anymore F***ing water)

i feel bad for those peeps on the west coast....twice this season they get anal raped. but hell, if Ivan goes easterly...that we get anally destroyed 3 times...and as they say here...3 strikes and your out!

talk at ya later!

Ireland and Scotland are both fine, really good countries, great people; Ireland's prob better in that it isn't controlled (and thereby ruined) from England. Both nice and empty with lots of space and not that many people, apart from around Dublin, and the Glasgow-Clyde-Edinburgh stretch. Rains a lot though, but I imagine you're q used to that now.

England's not so hot a place to live anymore really. If you get some pleasant rural location, village green, pub, post office etc, it's all very nice (and expensive) but for most people it's grotty council estates or anonymous suburban boxes, soaring prices, town centres taken over by drunks and thugs, and a dishonest and unpopular system govt that is ripping off the ordinary person for the benefit of a few large corporations.

hmm i am really used to all the rain....rains here everyday it seems around the same time every day 3:45pm

but i am used to crime and drunken morons in the street every night....(thats what the US is all about...booze and raping you of all your cash ) But i have a feeling it will be Either Ireland or Scotland cause those are the most beautiful especially the countryside in Ireland and teh Highlands in scotland....most breathtaking.

And a word about Ivan...Not gonna hit within a 100+ miles of me (Phew) an orlando landfall is like been stated as less than 1% so at least we are safe..(this time)..about damn time too

I never knew England was so bad...well damn there went that idea

And what about France? I once spent two weeks there, and I liked it (well, it was away from major cities, so my knowledge is kinda limited). The chicks are okay, beer sucks, wine and meals are cool. Where's the problem?

ah don't take any notice zlo, ff detests France, his house is first stop for asylum-seekers from Sangatte.

It's very true about the beer, though. And they come in those teeny tiny bottles too.

The wine, however, is quite good and very affordable.
