My comp. is fixed..now on to more problems

This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

CURSES!Curse Dell and their false advirtisements!*sigh* oh well. Anyways I can play NWN, but I can't un-install it, because I can't find it in add/remove programs, the folder/directory is gone, and it is no longer in the start programs list. I'm not sure how I can still play it though, and for some reason the icon on my desktop changes all the time.

There is nothing in the, My Computer - Programs - NWN - folders?

An alternative is to reinstall the game, then delete it from its uninstall rather than the control panel one.

Jagged, if you are able to start the game, it is still installed somewhere. Where is your icon located?

Post Wed Sep 08, 2004 1:17 pm

No it's not in My computer or anything, I can try and check in the files but I'm not sure how to do that. The Icon is on my desktop and I chose an icon form properties, becaus eit kept changing. Also this doesn't link directly to the game but it's a shortcut to the autorun thing.

OK. So you have the game icon on your desktop.

And you had to change its properties because the icon image kept changing?
So you you should be able to read more about that icon in the properties.

Where is it pointing to? I mean what does it say in the box next to "Target"

You'll most likely unable to play the game upon install? or an error occured after trying to get the icon to start the game? or some hazardous error occured after rebooting ur pc? ..who knows..

Ok, go into my computer, then into your main hard drive (probably C, then look for the folder within the C: drive called "NeverwinterNights", delete it, then reinstall.

Alternatively, Click start and then find files&folders (or something similar, and search for a folder called "NWN", delete and reinstall.

Hmm okay I'l try those. But there's another problem re-installing Windows messed up my wireless network install stuff. Hopefully the IT line will work.

Post Sat Sep 18, 2004 1:47 pm

it hasn't messed it up as such. You need to run the Network Setup Wizard again after enabling, if necessary, Universal PlugnPlay, unless of course you're using static IP addressing (which you're prob not)
