My comp. is fixed..now on to more problems

This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

Well I had installed when the drivers weren't installed and when I found out I couldn't play it I uninstalled it before the drivers wer einstalled. I found out now that after the drivers wer einstalled it was still there but I couldn't see it oon the add/remove progams list. I also deleted it from the programs list in the start menu. I want to un-install it but I can't. And now I can't play it because it says to insert the disc for the game and I do but it still won't start up. I haven't tried re-ionstalling it from this point(but I've tried before it became un-able to read the disc). Ok I hope that info helps/

It's a bit garbled, but I gather that the files were still on your HDD after you installed the drives, but after uninstalling the program. Well, if the program is not in the A/R Prog. List, then delete the folder and all files. Most modern games will not run without the proper registry entries. Then simply reinstall. Which program is it anyway?

What do you mean what program? Like what game is it? It's Neverwinter Nights. Oh and I kind of fixed the 'not starting problem' .

Right, I'll tell you one thing, I know nothing about PC'S, anyways I'm pretty sure it's brand(because it wa shsipped here by Dell).

Post Wed Sep 01, 2004 10:58 am

a pc is brand when every output device u got is from one company i.e dell moniter, dell key board etc.
clone on the other hand is a mixture of different pc making companies i.e samsung moniter, dell pc, microsoft keyboard etc.
clones are ususally better cuz you cann repair them anywhere by anyone

Ah yes, NWN; truly a great game. Now, what exactly do you require our assistance with then?

Post Fri Sep 03, 2004 1:33 pm

Okay like I said, I installed and un-installed NWN before the drivers were installed. Now I can't seem to get it off my computer because it isn't in Add/remove, or the programs list in the Start menu, I think I can reach it's files when the disc is in by clikcing on the cd drive icon in my computer.

Post Fri Sep 03, 2004 8:54 pm

First things first, have you deleted the NWN directory from the previous installation?

Post Fri Sep 03, 2004 9:59 pm

What is a directory? In any case I'm fairly certain it's gone

Sadly yes, I'm not really sure what a directory is. Oh wait now I remember*thwaps self* isn't that wher ethefile are kept? Yeah that's gone.

Post Sat Sep 04, 2004 4:38 pm

You have to clarify something for me; if it isn't in the "Add/Remove Programs" list, and there is no NWN directory, then what do you mean that you can't get it off your PC?

Post Sat Sep 04, 2004 6:48 pm

Directory = folder.
Directory = old PC DOS speak
Folder = MacIntosh, new Windows speak

oh please lord, don't let it be installed to the desktop! I can't abide people who use the desktop for installs and storage, then moan about their desktop taking ages to refresh.
