A-team

This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

BA and his cheesy pair of plyers could fix anything. H. M. Murdock was my favorite, Howling Mad.

Mr. T .... Sgt. Bosco Albert "B.A." Baracus (1983-1987)
Tim Dunigan .... Lt. Templeton "Faceman" Peck #1 (1983)
Dirk Benedict .... Lt. Templeton "Faceman" Peck #2 (1983-1987)
Dwight Schultz .... Capt. H.M. "Howling Mad" Murdock (1983-1987)
Melinda Culea .... Amy Amanda Allen (1983)
William Lucking .... Col. Lynch (1983-1984)
Lance LeGault .... Col. Roderick Decker (1983-1986)
Marla Heasley .... Tawnia Baker (1984)
Robert Vaughn .... Gen. Hunt Stockwell (1986-1987)
Eddie Velez .... Frankie "Dishpan" Santana (1986-1987)
Judy Ledford .... Carla (1986)
rest of cast listed alphabetically
Charles Napier .... Col. Briggs (1984-1985)

a face that could stop a plane.

Welcome Back, nickless.

I pity the fool who doesn't like my peanut butter samwich ... Grrrrr.

I love it when a plan comes together.

I remember watching reruns of it. It consistently amused me how they could always create an armored vehicle of some sort without fail, including in one episode, an armored log shooter. Apparently 80's action televisionwas big on cheesiness and unrealistic resourcefulness.

And WB, Nickless.

A-Team asks Murdock: "are you sure you're ready to be in this mission?"
Murdock: "I've got this piece of paper here that states that I'm sane."
*pulls out a piece of paper. Hannibal opens the fold and reads the handwriting on it: "I'm sane"*

Hannibal: "good enough for me"

I haven't done this for years, lets see if I can get it right....

*clears throat*

bababum bababum

In 1972 a crack commando unit was sent to prison by a military court for a crime they didn't commit.

bababum

These men promptly escaped from a maximum security stockade to the Los Angeles underground.

bababum bababum

Today, still wanted by the government, they survive as soldiers of fortune.

If you have a problem,

if no one else can help,

and if you can find them,

maybe you can hire.....

the A-Team.

Ba Ba Ba Baaaaaa Baaa Baaa Ba Baaaa....

Man I haven't seen the A- Team in years, always liked George Peppard as an actor too.

Post Mon Aug 09, 2004 3:02 am

yeah too bad ol' george kicked the bucket back in '92, I think ive seen the whole series three times as a lil' nipper and ugrowing kid, I always found it amusing to see that several thousands round of ammunition was flying round on your average every day episode, but no-one actually got hurt, that folks, is making violent TV suitable to kids, I believe that there were actually two episodes in the whole series which I believe spanned the eighties (from 1983-1989 I believe the series ran) the rest were all, bloodless, not violentless, but without a notable speck of blood.

I think my favourite part of the title sequence had to be when you see hannibal dressed up as godzilla with a cigar in his mouth

viloence, smoking, fast cars, loose women (well they were around "Face" anyway )

What a great show

Post Mon Aug 09, 2004 5:03 am

The cast and crew were not trying to be convincing. That's what gave this show "credibility" in the sense that the people making the show didn't try to make it convincing and made sure that the audience understood the same.

Well, Mr. T took it seriously but I don't think anyone else did.

This was classic 1980's low budget make a ton of money tv programming. Cable had not yet come into prominence so the networks were pretty fearless in just throwing anything they wanted at the screen.
