Media motor?

Media motor?

im using the downstairs computer on our network, and every 10 minutes or so, for no reason the page redirects to a dialogue asking me to instal "media motor" or "motor media" something like that. i did a little research, and its connected to something called "roings" ive ran ad-aware several times, and it keeps showing up, im now running avg to see if it will destroy it.

anyone else got advice?

Firewall, check your allowed in/out list, and run SPYBOT - as adaware is only really good for removing cookies etc - and not programs!

Have you done a search on the computer for either of those names, and the reg search to see if it shows up?

It's called "Media Motor"? Gee, that doesn't sound like spyware .

Check the registry, and see if you can find it in the "Run" or "RunOnce" folders for a start.
