I don't think C3PO or the Terminator would have been 'she's.

C3PO is a practical copy of an old mother's personality, but considering that it's considered a "he", it's a controversial topic. =O
Now, if the Hubble could walk on two legs, use worn out fusion cells as grenades and save the future of mankind, MAYBE we could call it a he.
