What is love?

This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

@gromit, I actually got that off Discworld: Noir. I remembered it a couple days ago and thought it would be a better signature. Since my old one was getting, well, old. Although it is one I agree with, in the majority of cases, people wouldn't be friends with each other if there was nothing to gain. In every friendship I have seen in other people, there was always something they got from each other that made the friendship worthwhile. Or certain criteria that had to be met in order for the friendship to continue, e.g. a way of thinking or a belief. So even if someone wasn't getting any material objects, they were gaining an ideological ally, someone expected to support them.

@Indy11, I apologise for my outburst. I've been having a rough few months lately. And I was not aware that giving a warning as to the subject of a post was inviting people to read it. Obviously I don't use forums as much as I should in order to obtain that kind of knowledge. I had seen someone do it in one of their posts, and I decided it would be useful to apply that technique to my post.

Friends are just people who have used each other so often it has become habitual.

Love is everything everyone said up to now, and more. To reduce it to a mere few observations and define it by one or a few of it's traits that left the biggest impression and the deepest mark would be diminishing it's meaning. This, however, does not make this thread pointless, it is, in fact a very useful one, as it points out to the things about love we haven't realised yet.
One thing (I think) was not yet said, and should be known...
Love is, as all things in life, a double-edged blade; if you don't want to hurt someone or get hurt yourself, you must learn how to wield it first.
But even those not skilled at it shouldn't keep it sheathed, as it proves to be a great mistake...

Careful what you wish... You just might get it.

@ FL2003, as the pencil sharpener said to the Stumped pencil: wheres your point??

don't get me wrong, or call me a softy, but I believe in True Love, I have seen from up close what it can do to a man but how about leave Love undefined??

for instance, how can one define Love, or anger, or any emotion?? truth is, even if you want to, you couldn't define it, there are something loose in this world, that just weren't meant to be put in words, and I know for one, Love is a part of those things, but don't let me stop you from trying it anyway..

As said above, this stuff has a lot of definitions and... hmm... kinds?
Anyway, I believe it's either a) the instinct of reproduction wrapped up into a nice candy paper. or b) a strong willing to belong somewhere or to someone and to have sth or sb belong to you plus a wish for recognition.

Love is the opposite of what I'm feeling towards Chips right now (j/k) but pls stop calling me SW

What is love, I guess it's time I answer my own question, as everyone said, there are many kinds of love, the one that means the most to me, is Agape, unconditional love no matter what, I cannot expand on this, due to forum rules, but it's the one I appretiate most in my life.
