Op-Center: Call To Treason
When a shortsighted congressional committee cuts Op-Centers budget, the first victim is General Mike Rodgers. But he may not be out of work for long. Dynamic Senator Donald Orr is amking a run for the president as the head of his own third party -- and he's in teh market for a strong military advisor. The only problem is that is beginning to look like Orr's presidential run has a body count. And Rodgers must decide whether to jump on the bandwagon or tear it down - along with the rest of the Op-Center team...
It takes a turn from the last couple books in the series and is focused on issues that are purely "domestic". Line of Control, Mission of Honor, and Sea of Fire, the last three books in the series, were all based on events mainly "outside" of the United States. I like the change in pace and a totally different plotline from the other books in the series. Feel free to chime in if you've read it or any other of Clancy's books, some hate his style of writing. But I for one love it.
For clarification, Call to Treason was written by Jeff Rovin and the series was created by Tom Clancy and Steve Pieczenik.
