This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

Remember (Insert gaming experience) Ah, good times, good tim

Anyone else just feel like popping in an old game that you haven't played in a while? I just did so with quake III arena, and the memories came flodding back. I joined a special team deathmatch game, in which all players had railguns, and once shot, the charected was frozen in place, simulating a 'respawn' time. I now remember why I stopped playing...(Picture becomes wavy, and fades white, appearing suddenly with a Quake III match, there is a greusome kill on the screen, and the poor sod's head collides with the screen.) See why I didn't play for a while? Now I see what I have been missing out on. There are now a wide varietiy (Spelling? Sorry, it's 6 in the morning here.) of mods to choose from. I am downloading one at the moment called "Western Quake," which (Obviously) converts QIII into an old-western style shooter, with game modes such as duel, bank robbery, and good old deathmatch. Anyone else have a similar experience with a game?

Woah....Just made a significant discovery.....Think I found somthing like Counter-Strike for Quake III, if anyone around here has it. It's called the Navy SEAL's mod. It's got the money system, glocks, MP5's, the whole 9 yards. Try searching for it on google.

I still every now and again when the guys are round to have some serious 4 player deathmatch on Goldeneye or Perfect Dark. I think i enjoy because i lost once, and with my morale and ego on the rocks, it actually took me 6 months to get my game back to superb.

lets see...CTF on halo....80 kills...and nobody captured the flag on the other team, and i was the only one who got the flag on my team

4 Player deathmatch with respawning monsters on Doom 1 full. ultimate carnage.

But if you're thinking that quake III is nostalgic gaming, the you obviously haven't been playing games for a long time. I used to have a space invaders arcade machine. and i almost got RSI from playing so much.

I remember a little old classic game called Syndicate. It's so old, that when we got it (when I was around 6 or so) it was already labeled a classic game. This game rocked. VGA graphics. 3/4 view. Squad based combat. Tons of missions. If you've played it you know what I mean. If you haven't you don't know what you're missing.

I remember Syndicate. I always liked researching weapons and then equpping my guys with gauss guns .

homeworld. nothing like 400 cloaked fighters owning the entire friggin map, backed by 250 multi gun vettes and 200 heavy vettes. not to mention some 10 heavy cruisers plus more than 100 ion frigs captured mostly with 8 salvage vettes. those are the good times. nothing like that in hw2.

Syndicate was ace...but I want to relive the games I loved as a kid, which were :

Afterburner
remember the 180 rotation?!! COOL!

Gauntlet
insert a pound between 4 and play for 5 hours

Double Dragon
insert a pound between 2 and play til complete

N.A.R.C.
am I the only one who remembers this anti drugs propaganda double dragon-esque game?

Dragons Lair
the original Laser Disc version - very exclusive arcade game that was. I was so excited when I saw that this immense game was stored on this 12" flat shiny disc. I remember thinking "wow, where will technology go next??!"

Everyone's a Wally
think that was the name, there was a few sequels too. They were great games, you had to move around and interact with bizarre characters to solve puzzles.

Spellbound
I think the sequel was called "Knights Tale". They were awesome games...a bit like everyone's a wally but you play this little monochrome knight who can cast spells and mix potions. Very very cool.

Jet Set Willy
I can't even explain the dedication I gave to this game....but I never did manage to beat it.

Sabre Wolf
The first "3D" game that spawned a hundred rip-offs. A killer, but just brilliant.

Green Beret
2D Platform type game where you run around and shoot soldiers and tanks. Awesome.

Tau Ceti
I had a copy of this b*gger on a C60 Tape, but I didn't have the instructions. It was an absolute biyatch if you didn't know what to do. Eventually I nipped to my local corner shop and read the instructions...which led onto an unbelievable amount of gameplay.

Spy Hunter
I couldn't do it then, and I can't do it now....but I still loved it. "ooh you can change into a boat....oooooh"

Repton 1,2,3 & 4
The original "dig through the earth and release rocks by going under them, collect all the jewels and escape the level" type game. Was superb.

God I could go on for hours....there are soooo many classics....but of course, everyone knows my favourite pass-time was Elite - the daddy of all games

NARC was the one with the gays on the roof, right?

The older Red Faction. Miss the old railgun.

Double dragon was a classic. I used to have it on the Atari ST.

I loved Streets of Rage as well. I would love to see Sega re make this. 2 player was fantastic as well.
