Bethesda To Release Fallout 3

This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

Bethesda To Release Fallout 3

Bethesda, company best known for Morrowind, a very good RPG maker, has taken the reigns to Fallout, supposedly a really popular game. Anyway, heres the address

http://pc.gamespy.com/pc/fallout-3/529744p1.html

I never really realized what the deal was with Fallout in and on itself, but I did play (and still have) Fallout 2, and found it to be one of the most in-depth games i ever played, I only played a little bit of the first town and wandered around killing things and exploring (experiencing the random sequences too, the most memorable being the one where a gang of 3 huge, chaingun-handed mutants, shoots an old man for disobeying them). But never really got into truly *playing* it. With the recent closing of interplay, it is certainly interesting to see a more stable, experienced company take control of it, at least we know there are no more unknown points, its coming out, now its just a matter of when. Personally during my extremely short playing time of fallout 2, i very much enjoyed it, and hopefully will continue whenever this ones out.

PS: The reason i stopped playing in reality was the graphics werent that great, you know whatever people say about old games being absolutely awesome, and hey, i might be shallow but you know, as great a game is, i really cant play it if it looks like ****. People say Final Fantasy 7 was the great FF of all time but just a quick glance at it and i determined that, even if it was the greatest game ever made, i wasnt one to even try it.

I never played Fallout, but I did play Fallout 2, when I rented it from a library. It was super-fun, and I played it right through to the end. I can't wait for Fallout 3. However, since it's being developed by Bethesda, this means it will probably be first-person, which will annoy me a bit. I got this from when they said in an IGN interview that they are sticking with what they do best, not top-down isometric view like Baldur's Gate.

People have it all wrong these days, instead of discriminating and hating others for being black or ugly, we should practise fairness and hate every living thing equally.

Yeah! Ownage! FInally Fallout 3 will be there!
But pelase Bethesda, keep top-down isometic view! And the S.P.E.C.I.A.L system, and the treats and perk...

I'm not that confident after all.

Edit:
A quote from the lead designer:

"To the folks asking us to not make Fallout just like Morrowind:
Gee, thanks. We never would've thought of that, had you not mentioned it. I was already writing up design docs that included entire plot lines about cliffracers; I guess maybe now I'll get rid of those, thanks to your quick thinking."

I heard about this a while ago however, as I have not had the opportunity to play any of the Fallout series, I didn't pay much attention .

*Stabs Esqy*

Buy it, play it or else...

I personally think Obsidian or Troika would be better. I heard Beth want to make it real time and 1st person -_-

I have to think my favorite uhm, trait from fallout 2 was the one where you always see the most gruesome deaths possible .

I really dont mind if they do it first person and whatnot, that magic word here is *good*, thats what I think is more important, the view is a big part but if they make FPS view rule then i wouldnt mind playing it.
