E-mail check frequency

This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

E-mail check frequency

I check mine maybe once a year. Usually have to reopen it from hotmail. Anyone else that bad?

I went 1 week without checking one once. Had 72 pieces of junk mail in it. Never did that again. I try to check them all every day. I have 5 of them for differnt purposes.

you check your email once a year? what if its important?

if you have to reopen your account, doesn't everything get wiped? then there would be no point of having an account at all...

I remember the first time I checked a freshly-created email account two weeks after I created it; it had more than 250 SPAM emails *shakes head*. That was about eight years ago.

why have an email address if you're not going to use it? weirdo!

I have 3 email addresses, one personal, one work and one that use to attract junk away from my personal addy (use it on sites that I am forced to register on when I don't want to).

I check the personal once every hour, the work is checked every 2 minutes and the junk addy I check once every 3 weeks.

-_-;; every 2 minutes? every hour?

i check mine every other day. i've got enough filters set up so that absolutely no junk, save for the virused ones, come through, and those from sites i subscribed to. like msnbc news and space.com.

@kimk - outlook lives on my desktop 24/7 and downloads my work email every 2 minutes. my personal email I choose not to download at work, so I check the webmail approx once an hour and then download anything important to my home machine at night. Its not a routine, its a lifestyle

The only thing I really use the account for is signing up for things that require you to have an account somewhere. Like here for instance. Besides, all I really get at all is junk mail anyway. I think. I used to check it far more frequently but if anyone cares why they can just dig up some of my really old posts.

My Outlook gets emails every 10 minutes, if it's open. How often it's open, however, is a different story

gsss, i only got there and i get one e-mail every 2-3 weeks if iam lucky.

I have my work e-mail checking every 60 seconds and sounding off if it gets something new. My home addy get's checked usually once a day and I have it checking every 5 minutes once it's up. I used to have a yahoo account for junk mail but I became so irregular at clearing it out that the account expired. Thankfully I've managed to keep my home addy mostly clear of spam due to strict net habits about handing out my address. I still get them just not badly and any ones I do get the source address goes straight on a block list.

I check my e-mail once a day. Sometimes I get something worthwhile, rest of the time it gets reported as spam.

mine checks all my accounts every minute. Anyone know of a way to minimise outlook to the taskbar? it would make my life a lot easier
