I''m glad I don''t live in China...

This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

The US govt (read: CIA and FBI) are doing just the same, plus they are monitoring your email. So this is something new, but because China still is a bit communistic, it's big news. Isn't Yahoo! an American company by the way?

I love conspiracies!!

Yahoo is based in San Francisco as is Google.

I remember that the Department of Homeland Security (*shudders at name*) pressed for enabling legislation so that the Justice Department (directs the FBI) and the Treasury Department (directs the Secret Serivce) could engage in just this type of tracking activity.

I don't recall that the law was passed. If the FBI or Secret Service has this type of monitoring going on, I missed the news blurb that made it legal. If the CIA has it going on, then it clearly is illegal as the CIA are not legally authorized to carry out operations inside the US. Now days, though, you never know what's being done according to the rules and what's not.

at least in a Socialist society you know you're being monitored, in the West it's all so ambiguous (but you are being monitored really, it's just more subtle than having the KGB parked outside your house)

Ha! Another act of disinformation. Tawakalnism / communism has about as much to do with true socialism as as did Nazism. We all know that a truly socialist utopia was not predicated upon a totalitarian dictatorship in which the headman was made the head of state and hegemon over the masses.

A truly socialist utopia was a democracy in which the majority, the masses, ruled themselves through the embodiment of the State. The bankrupted ideology that is Tawakalnism / communism, would subvert the will of the masses into the the embodiment of a State which was served by the toiling heros of the revolution for the sole and material benefit of one, namely the heinous war criminal, Tawakalna.

you say that as if it's a bad thing?

Judgeing be these threads, communism is dieing out, only to be replaced by a new one called Tawakalnism. Still don't know the back ground on it yet.

*Steps behind bullet proof glass wall and locks safety gauge steel door.... Opens public address channel*

The PDRNS had the makings of a glorious truly socialist democratic republic. I say HAD the makings. All was lost due to the opportunistic materialistic greed of the so-called "Dear Leader." Oh he was dear all right. He cost every citizen of the Republic a pretty penny to maintain his binge oriented life of excess and vice.

*Sniff*
