So..... why are all Oz men Bruce and women Sheila? What's that about? What are the stereotypes they are supposed to sybolize?

yahoo messenger is always messing up for me, heck they delet half of my friends list sometimes and or add ids to it that i havent ever talked to. and yes i d change the password. so dont worry.

Indy - It's a long story, and I am sure that Mustang would be far more eloquent than I in exploring Australian idiosyncratic stereotypes. Still, I'll do my best.

"Bruce" is supposed to be the stereotypical Australian male; the domestic beer-drinking, pub going, football-watching type. These are the main attributes, but "Bruce" is also defined by his appearance, speech ie. use of vernacular, and opinions. "Sheila" is supposed to be the sterotypical Australian female; essentially the same as above. As for why these stereotypes are called "Bruce" and "Sheila", that's anyone's guess . Seriously, ask Mustie; I do not associate with the riff-raff .
