Little help with computer creation please.

This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

Hey! Lay off the newb comments. I don;t exactly post much but I'll bet that I've been around here longer than you. Oh yeah sorry if that sounded rude

Post Fri Jun 25, 2004 7:32 pm

Watch your step here, iamme. These guys are just having a bit of fun, that's what they usually do. As for your machine, sounds good. With that kind of a video card, you shouldn't have to worry about PCI Express anytime soon. That's a decent price. Are you building it yourself or are you having someone else do it?

Yes, you have been *signed up* here longer than me, but status is detemined on how well you're known in this forum, not how long you've been a member for, otherwise "sw" would be ranked a newb as well ......

Oh ,and apology accepted ...

Post Fri Jun 25, 2004 8:46 pm

Now that that's done. I was going to get it made by somebody else, because building it myself with shipping for every part where I can find it cheapest would turn out about the same so why not have somebody else do the work?
Thx for the quick reply

Are you having it done at a licensed computer shop? If you are, make damn sure you get some kind of warranty in case something fails so you can bring it back. If not, you're on your own. Believe me, I have experience in this sort of thing. My computer is not under warranty except for motherboard, cpu, and fan. That's it. Anything else, it's up to me to replace. So be careful if which route you take.

Another computer enquiry, eh? Well first things first, are you going to build it yourself, or will this be a pre-built machine? *Shudder*

Incorrect neo - status is how well liked and respected you are, and flaming newbies - especially old clan team-mates of many months doesn't add to your "status" - it detracts from it, especially when its patently obvious that a valid score back has meant your on your back foot making excuses as to why you think your better.

Spamming doesn't bring status at all, and all members on the board should be respected. Just cause you post in Off topic alot doesn't mean you are a more worthwhile member than anyone else - regardless of how infrequent they post!

"all members on the board should be respected" - very very true, except me because I dont care.

picot no kcab -

it all sounds reasonable for me, price seems ok (for US$ presumably) erm if you don't want to build it then a shop will charge you £100 and up to build it and they'd prob want you to get the stuff off them so they can make a bit more, that's the way it goes. Or check the local paper and find a techie for hire who'll do it for you. But you'd learn a lot more doing it yourself and you cant really do much damage if youre careful.

why wait for PCI-Xpress? - actually P4 stuff will start to become bargain price soon and is still more than good enough for virtually everything gamey on the market.

Apology accepted ...

And here's the part that Chips missed . Now, let's calm it down and answer his question ........

Post Sat Jun 26, 2004 1:58 am

I didn't miss it at all, i was just suprised that you don't see that it should go both ways. Guess not in your perspective, typical.

Anyways - seeing as you have nothing to add to the discussion in any way shape or form other than a lil flaming, stop spamming.
