Shrek 2

This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

Liv does look cute, even though she doesn't do it for me, and she does put in a superb performance. I was very impressed and didn't realise she had q such a range as an actress.

oh btw,

"Liv Tyler is the BEST WOMAN EVER MADE! SHE ROCKS! WOO! YEAH MAN, THERE AIN'T EVER BEEN A WOMAN LIKE HER BEFORE! NO WAY! WOOO!"

..you do that TOO well. that's all that late-night Jerry Springer for you. Don't lie, I know you watch it if it's on!

Thats alright man, she only has eyes for me anyway

Seriously though, I think she's a pretty good actress, looks aside....even back in Empire Records, it was obvious to me that when she grows up and ditches the angst teen thing she'll be good. I think she needs to choose a more challenging role though. Nicking one of Miss Ricci's would be a good move.

I really beg to Differ on that particular Item Grom

But anyway, I really think Shrek is worth while, if only for the entertainment Value. But I agree with Uncle Taw, there is no best Film, there is only a good entertainment value, and even that doesn't account for the greatness of the Film. "Best film ever" and other bla bla and jibberish is all a matter of opinion, for instance, the moment I knew last samurai was out on the disc I went to get it, because I knew it was a great movie, but it certainly isn't the "greatest, best and most spectacular" movie ever made/I have ever seen.

I I may Give my opinion, and I will certainly do that, The "Geatest movies", are the silent era ones, Like Charley Chaplin and Laurel and Hardy, but then again, it's only MY opinion.

Thanks for dragging the thread back on topic Loc *glares and Taw and Co.*.

Well Shrek 2 was good, except that unlike Griff, I found it a little more obvious than the first. Still, the satire was good, albeit right out in plain sight, and the animation was excellent. I thought that the "Fairy Godmother" character could have been made a little more "Ab-Fab" (Eddy-ish), because Jennifer Saunders could have fused the two characters together effectively. I imagine that they didn't do so, as the little kiddies (and many adults) probably have no idea what "Absolutely Fabulous" is and would thus miss the jokes. The climax was also done very well in my view. I'll tell you though, that cat (played by Banderas) can sell anything .

Edit: Changed spelling. Thanks. *Glares at Taw*

Post Thu Jun 24, 2004 2:07 am

Loc, I was being sarcastic! (do you really think I talk like that? ) Read Taw's previous post...

Post Thu Jun 24, 2004 2:25 am

he does talk like that, Loc, and his name is an anagram of Cletus Lots (shucks Ellie-Mae)

@Taw: I think it could be Antonio Banderas (not sure, haven't seen Shrek 2 yet), and he's no way Lithuanian - Satan forbid!

but not Antonio Banderous, who's obv a kak lookie likee for Antonio Banderas

Post Thu Jun 24, 2004 5:00 am

Yes Antonio Banderas it is. Just read a little review that credits him for being willing to do a humorous reprise of his Zorro act.

I happen to like AbFab, I happen to like French and Saunders.

Curse you, Taw! May all of your sons marry camels!

*Sighs* See that's what happens when I; a) hang around the common folk too much, and b) come on to TLR late at night .

Agreed. Saw ghost ship - no horror whatsoever. The scene with slicing folks on the deck with a wire was amusing, tho.
