Some Lara facts from the Tomb...

This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

Some Lara facts from the Tomb...

Core Design were (possibly still are) based in Derby. I used to work for the largest multimedia firm in the midlands, which was also based in Derby, so Toby Gard came to our offices quite often to sort promotion etc. Quite a sound geezer all in all from what I remember of him. As far as I know, Core is no longer in possession of the Tomb Raider franchise. I think the reason for that is that all but one of the games suck. The only good one was the original. It's the best one I've played. The problems with the other ones, were that they didn't add anything to the formula. Not to mention the controls and camera problems. Those two NEVER got fixed, as far as I know. The Tomb Raider franchise is well past its prime. Time to put it out to pasture if it hasn't already.

From what I understand there was fairly big falling out between Core and Eidos over the last Tomb Raider. Core were way over schedule and Eidos had it out the door before it was ready, crappy review and poor sales ensued. Last I read was that Warren Spector was going to be overseeing the next installment of the series. I don't if Ion Storm are going to be involved though.

If Spector is involved, I hope he does a MUCH better job than Core did. They did NOTHING to improve the game over the past 5 years.

As long as Angelina agrees to do sequels may Tomb Raider never be "put out to pasture".

Edit = better pic

Angelina is the only thing about Tomb Raider I like, i never warmed to any TR game, even though i thought they looked good, all that jumping around just annoys me. Me kids love it though.

Must admit that i never played the game until the other year, and really enjoyed it due to the "active puzzle" method games. I will also watch nearly any film with Miss Jolie in it as well.

I played the first 3 and got halfway through the fourth before losing intest all together. They just weren't doing anything all that new. The first two were fun but it started to get tedious after that.

i lost interest half way through the first demo game.

Neo, just ran across the story and as I am interested in how some of the games got started, I look things up. Only played a couple of the demos. Never been real interested in first person shooters. The only exceptions were Jedi knight, outcast ansd acadamy. I prefer RPG's more.

Angelina's not doing anymore sequels. She said so herself. The movies were half-baked anyway.

Too much effort to stay that skinny. There will always be games made into movies, anyway.
