I can understand when some of the big games are delayed, like Doom 3. With Half-Life 2. I think that the theft of the source code revealed as to how incomplete the game actually was. If Valve had released the game when they said it was going to be released, on September 30th of last year, it would've been a major disaster. I think it was premature of them to actually set a concrete release date before they even finished and tested the game. I just hope they can pull their act together and finish the game, because I'm a big fan of the original. HL2 better be damn good.

ug,
i have limited internet access one hour to be exact so i really don't care about my spelling
-on topic-
question how were fans of the game able to track/report the cowards or did a government agency track them
edit- i hope this game is a good one i may look into picking up a copy when it is released

It was -

The hackers who got hold of the code posted it online and it was widely shared via Usenet.
so it would be easyer to track.

ok that was there first mistake (other than stealing the code in the first place)

Mustang - I'm not saying that someone didn't steal it, but that it is a little too convenient to be a spontaneous breach of security.
