Game-influenced dreams

This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

i've had dozens of game dreams, i've been in counterstrike on several occasions, last night i dreamed i was at the klendathu landing, shot a rocket at a plasma bug then hopped on a warthog from halo and ran over the rest. it was pretty sweet.
i've also had splinter cell dreams, half life dreams hell i've dreamed of games that havent been invented yet

..I was that bug..

<sigh>

"murial" was the term given to her alpine landscape wallpaper by Hilda Ogden in Coronation Street. She'd won a speed shopping competition with Deidre Langton and used part of the money she raised to pay for the realisation of her dream of having a "murial" while the rest of the money was used tp pay off husband Stan's debts, namely setting fire to his rented telly so that he could get a new one and not pay extra. A plan which, naturally, backfired and the rental compnay came after him for the debt.

Sadly Hilda's small crumb of comfort in her miserable existence, her beloved murial, was forever ruined when Stan and lodger Eddie Yeates attempted to save money by sweeping the chimney themselves with some rods Eddie had "borrowed" off a mate. In the ensuing downfall of soot, the murial recieved a dark indelible stain which remained for the rest of the Ogden's residency in Horror-Nation Street.

And one of Hilda's ducks fell off and it never stayed upright after that

bloody classic.

..sweetness, sweetness, I was only joking when I said I'd like to smash every tooth in your head..

I had a dream that I was posting on a forum called "Lancer's Reactor" and could not escape...

Post Sun Jun 06, 2004 3:15 pm

That would be the ultimate nightmare. hee hee. I love it when I can reallize I'm dreaming and can changee them. Just wish I could do a little Finalfantasy gamming in them, but what the hey, as long as I can fly.

I can't recall a dream like that. Except one where I was running form the aleins in Mars Attack(I think ti was called). Then I reasoned with them and didn't die!

My friend was playing James Bond: Nightfire and he was sniping like crazy. Then when he wa sasleep he dreamt he wa son top of my school sniping people.

Post Mon Jun 07, 2004 3:59 pm

That amuses me considering how easy Night fire is, especialy with all the Gliches.

But you guys can't be playing that much, dreams Bah I uased to have points in the day when I'd go out to buy something from a Vending Machine at my old work, an dthe vending machine often ate your money but not always, so After playing way too much of a game that had F5 as a quick save I went up to the machine and tried to press F5. that was scary. Then another time I was watching amovie and all of a sudden a Helicopter comes up from behind a building I In my mind I'm waiting for a red Circle on it to say I've locked on. That was pretty bad too, but the worst was whenI was on this big field in Iowa a while ago and After spending like a Week playing BF1942 I saw 2 people on the other side of the field, I could just make out thier outlines. I started to squint And see if thier I could see name tags floating above Thier head, and worse I was squinting not to read the tags, but to see if they were red or blue.

When I was In grade school I refered to me and my friends as the stoners who didn't use drugs to get stoned, we were either naturaly that weird and srewed up or we had been awake for 3 days. Beening Awake for 3 days has all the halucinations of drugs.
But its free, well not really, you have to pay for $100 worth of jolt, and red bull.
And the best part is just as Much Brain Damage!!!!

I remember Dark Forces Wiz! good fun, the first FPS where you could look up and down, but was overshadowed by quake. good thing Jedi Knight was cool.

Anyway...
I still liked the dreams about Deus Ex... now THAT was cool, sitting on top of the cathederal of the Knights Tepmplar with a rifle picking off MJ12 troops. fun until i lost footing and fell.
let me tell you, they could not get that stain out for weeks

Dang, did it again last night. Realized I was dreaming and took off flying. And one better. The idea came from a STNG episode, I could phase shift and fly through trees. This one the best yet. Got to figure how to get the games more involded though

i dreamt about being stuck on a shingly beach at some wet, cold British seaside resort, with no money and with really dull boring people (blue-rinse pensioners) and the bus broke down and we only had 1/2 dozen spam sandwiches and a TUC biscuit (I had that)

The game was called "Theme Park: British Holiday expansion pack" in which the objective is to provide as little service and comfort for your guests and to fleece them in the process with i=unsafe rides and overpriced refeshments.

I usually have highly obscene dreams, but it's probably not because of what I play or watch, but because of what I don't.

Lately, before I nod off to sleep, I have thoughts about a little light fighter I'd like to create for FL. Does that count as dreaming?

@sw,

A little OT but I visited your site and was reading about your school and the required curricula. You mentioned courses known as "German Science."
What is that? ... or What are they?

Post Fri Jun 11, 2004 10:21 am

Oh lol there's suppose to be a full stop after German, you choose between bussiness economics and science and then between German, accounting and geography

But nowadays scinece tend to be German specially if you loose some of the work
