lets see how many people go blind

Post Sat Jun 05, 2004 9:01 am

look what is the point of even telling anyone? its always bloody raining or cloudy and all we ever get to see of these dam things is someone elses wonderful view on the telly.

rememeber Mars (was that last year) yeh spectacular that was. And the lunar eclipse (was dissing pown)

always been the bloody same, started with that Comet Kahoutek fiasco in the 70s, the only people who got to see that "magnificent celestial event" were the Skylab astronauts. Halle-Boppe Halle-Boppe Halle-Boppe-Boppe-Boppe wasn't much better, just looked like a fuzzy blob.

Post Sat Jun 05, 2004 9:52 am

you aren't even going to get to see it anyway, exam-girl, while its going on out a spashe you'll be stuck on q 6c, some quadratic equation or another type of horribleness.

about lunar eclipses:
What's the difference between the one we see every 4 weeks or so, and the one everyone's always going nuts about, you know, the "eclipse" ones?
I mean, the moon's gone in both cases, isn't it?

Well there are a difference, the one is when the earth is between the moon and the sun the other i do not know
But there is a difference

In a proper lunar eclipse, the moon appears red, because light from the sun is refracted by the Earth's atmosphere and gravity. When the moon's simply 'behind' the Earth, it just appears black

Post Sat Jun 05, 2004 12:17 pm

hmm the moon wasnt red with the lunar eclipse
