Spain knows how to deal with its criminals!

This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

Spain knows how to deal with its criminals!

I know this news is now almost 2 months old but I only just found about it today and I doubt many other people heard the full story (most reports say the motorcyclist hit a "car". Video footage of the crime is here
WARNING: this does feature a real motorcycle accident, no gore but a painful looking landing

Basically a druggie held 8 hostages in a bank in early april, claiming he had a grenade, he threatened to detonate it unless he was given drugs, food and some money. He slowly started to release hostages, finally releasing the last two in exchange for a motorbike. He hops on, reckoning he can just drive away and get away with it. The stupid ****er forgot he was dealing with Spanish police after the Al Quaeda attacks less than a month before! As he got about 300m away, one cop pulled his car out right in front of him and made him crash somersaulting twice before he hit the ground. I wish the British police had the balls to do something like that when it comes to it

old news. I see pursuits all the time. Once my dad was next to a car running from cops and he was debating if he should shoot the guys tires out because he had his gun in hand.

He can sue the police...

@ snipa, wtf was your dad doing with a gun in his hand?

Post Thu Jun 03, 2004 12:36 pm

Americans own their own guns primarily for protection ff i guess snipas dad felt his life was in danger

In the US, he proballly would sue and might win if they did this. Weird court system.

Post Thu Jun 03, 2004 1:57 pm

Agressive poilice chase tactics are nothing new in the US. Just look at our officer training programs. While in the UK and Europe, many officers casually walk up to a pulled over car, many, if not most US cops walk up with either their hand on their gun or with weapon drawn, especially if it's a high speed pursuit. The US has a messed up traffic patrol system. Not only would the guy sue in court and would win, but he could pull the exact same stunt again a month later and would get away with it, or shot. God bless america. --- VH16
