Ok bystanders nothing worked. Yep, nothing. After all that, shortly afterwards my computer hit a snag in which it would not go past the windows welcome screen. Im now back to the original 800x600 4 bit setting. The difference between before and now is that now it wont even detect the cards name, and refers to it merely as a "Video Controller (VGA)" I remember before I did it the card reported an error as in a imcomplete or damaged registry entry. Currently it just says reinstall drivers.

Final - Hmm, it's possible but unlikely. The BIOS does not really affect the functioning of the card except on a basic level, such as providing images for the CMOS settings, and "Palette Snoop" etc. It would seem that his registry has been trashed by something, and that's what's causing the problem.
Com - If it tells you to reinstall the drivers, and will not detect the card, then it means that all older drivers have been removed. You should now be able to use the original drivers that came with the card, and see if it works properly. Personally, I would reinstall Windows. If you don't wish to do that, then you will need to use "System Restore" (you still haven't told me if you have it or not), or the "Recovery Console" and "Repair" your Windows installation.
Note: I assume that you are using XP. Otherwise tell me .

last update for this post. After nearly 4 hours of trying to get around the problem with Microsoft. I eventually ended with a parallel windows install. Basically reinstalled with a fresh copy of windows, at least all my files are still safe. Unfortunately, they still aint goin nowhere, cd burner still doesnt work. Anyhow, the computer is fixed and im back at playing stuff . It was deceptively simple in the end, I tried to repair it and it got stuck, so I reinstalled it over the old one and reinstalled the cards original drivers and im set .
