Well there are people worse than that. Think about those occasional lone gunman psychos (eg Charles Whitman) who start firing on innocent civilians in some twisted act of revenge, while simultaneously they are really hoping to go down in a hail of bullets (their idea of a glorious death perhaps?) At least these people don't take anyone with them.
