For people who like dogs..... or poodles rather

I thought this was interesting, recently I was at a meeting for an internet company and I saw this website on their browser:

http://www.teacuppoodle.com

These poodles are supposed to be around 1,500 $ each. Anyway their extremely extremely small, as far as I see the largest being a little bigger than a can of soda. They look incredibly cute, so much so that I have actually decided to buy one, maybe two. You guys who have a spare 1,500 (i believe the price is negotiable as you get the price when you call the people selling em) lying around and like really really small dogs. These may be for you it may also make a great present for a girlfriend if your willing to invest that much. So check it out and tell me what ya think

I've never been a big fan of the more extreme breeds. Too much interbreeding takes place and the poor animals get congenital defects. Toy dogs tend to get a lot of joint problems especially in their front legs, mostly because they have to move around relatively mountainous terrain inside the house all their lives. Also don't forget no matter how cute it is, it's still a dog, it wants to sniff butts, chase smaller animals and play tug-o-war, too many people forget that with toy breeds.
Still, it's better than a bulldog, I won't go into that unless this topic heads the way of breeding and ethics, I just have fairly strong opinions on it.

$1500? i have one. we got him for about $200. they weigh about 4 to 5 pounds. of course they get smaller than that

sweeet wolfy, where did you get it for 200$ ? I would get a couple if it was that cheap lol, 4-5 pounds sounds just about right but if its a tiny bit smaller thats no problem. And no I dont forget their still dogs, and my house is like a 1 story, lots of area but no stairs which should be fine.

they can jump high! my dog could jump up on our dinner table if he really wanted to. the person who sold them to us a few years back raised the price last year to $300. and she has a batch that is even smaller for $400

Meh. Who the hell would want a tiny dog anyway? My family have always had big dogs such as Newfoundlands and Great Pyrenese, and we've never wanted a change. I hate those little "yappy" dogs.

At work, there is a lady that has one of these. Shaved, it could pass for a rat. It doesn't even weigh a pound, and it is a year old.

Man, do they sell keychains with those? I dont want to waste $400 and day later lose the damn dog , if thats whay you can call it....to me it looks like a rodent or somethin'. A dog is something that can bite living day lights out of intruders..not this little "thing". Than again it is easier to take care of. Give it a cup for a bed, and feed it half an ounce of meat a day. Think about all money you save

I've got a friend who's parents breed poodles. I can't stand the little bastards, personally. Too easy to step on.

What the hell! If I had that much money, I wouldn't be spending it on a dog, much less a Poodle.

Im like esq, I dont like little dogs, i prefer bigger ones.
I would buy a labradoodle though.

"Labradoodles" are ok with me as well; they are good for people allergic to dog fur (of course ).

Is that a recognized breed yet? Standard poodle + labrador retriever, right?

These little things apparently are good for people allergic to dog fur since they dont shed (it says so on the site).
