Iter to be built in France?
This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

There is an interesting article up at Final's favourite news site (BBC) about Iter (the International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor), and whether or not it will be built in Japan or France. Either way, it appears that a "true" fusion reactor is going to be a reality within the next few years. The article also contains other information, such as the expected power output of the reactor which, with one kilogram of "fusion fuel", will output the same amount of energy as ten million kilograms of fossil fuel.
meanwhile, on Grand Mufti Tawakalna's favourite news channel, Al-Jazeera, there's this
that's disturbing. It can store everything you ever say... oh the implications

Oh right, sorry . Ahem, I would imagine Final, that setting up a fully-functional prototype, and maintaining it without incident (ie. your "Boom!" ) for an extended period, would go a long way towards confirming the reactor's ability to be a long-term environmentally friendly solution. This would, fof course, also depend upon the reactor's running costs, and the skill level required by the reactor workers, etc.
It will start off as a "toy", but if it can produce bloody huge amounts of energy for a bloody small amount, then it will be bloody good ( ) and everyone will be after the technology (assuming that they can afford it).
