What do you think of Painkiller?
This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

Well the subject line says it all . I picked it up today, and it is as I expected; an "old skool" FPS with little to no plot, in which you run around and kill anything that moves. Ah, it takes me back to the good old days of "Doom", "Quake", "Catacombs", and "Wolfenstein"; those were the days! The graphics are quite good, but the physics engine IS very impressive. It interesting that I'm running it at 1280x960 with everything on their maximum detail settings, and it works perfectly. I love my OC'd Radeon 9700!
Serious Sam Gold is available now for somewhere between £5 and £10. That's both Serious Sams, the first and second encounters.
It's incredibly mindless and throws crap loads of monsters at you at the same time. It's also got a split screen mode so if one player is prepared to make do with keyboard control only it's even more fun. There are the usual frag matches (using cannons and making a smear mark out of your opponent is hilarious) but you can also play co-operatively through the entire game. The frag matches themselves are also very interesting with player activated traps and strange gravity fields.

We have a painkiler called "Analgin" - go figure
On topic: heard of it, a friend of mine has it, planning to borrow to see what it's all about. Some mindless killing games are good for letting out steam; however, for me it works only if you kill humans rather than some monsters.
An idea came to my head and is now desperately searching for brain
