Hewlett Packard "X Gaming" PC''s

This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

Hewlett Packard "X Gaming" PC''s

Hewlett Packard/Compaq are releasing a new line of computers branded the "X Gaming" PC's which are supposed to be built to order with all the components you want. Which is great for people like me who cant assemble their own computers but still need bleeding edge gaming machines. They say the price range is running from 1,500 to 3,000 dollars per machine. What do you guys think about it?

Some other company makes these too, but theirs cost $7,850-$8,000, dunno why anybody would do it, you could build your own for cheaper.

Alienware are supposed to be very good (albeit expensive), but you can get the local computer shop to build a customised PC for you for much less than buying off them, or HP.

Local computer shop? is there any nationwide computer shops or a certain shop I should specifically look for? Apparently, and obviously custom computers are way cheaper and more stable but i cant build one, If I had a shop build one, well would I go to any shop or is there certain one i should go to?

Most cities have a PC store that build machines for performance nuts.

but only one city has Tawsoft.com, where you can have quality and a bargain too! Highly recommended by many celebrities including Britney Spears (who wrote her "Toxic" single in gratitude to me, she did say it was going to be "Taw-xic" but I said she'd better respect my privacy) Cher, all her cryogenic chamber controls are built by me, Beyonce Knowles - she's crazy in love for my pc's, ermmm Julia Sawalha and Linda Barker (but she'll endorse anything)

everybody's doing the Len Ganley stance..

The local shop near me would run double that amount to custom build. They like to rip people off. I'd rather buy a mid grade and then upgrade a few items. Though the thought of building one is still there.

Hewlett Packard was bad before, but then they merged with Compaq, now their computers are even more crappy than before.

HP have a virtual monopoly here in Aus. since the merger with Compaq; Gateway have vanished, and the only other competition is Dell; I haven't seen any of their computers around in businesses for years (apart from servers).

branded overpriced rubbish, toys for the fashion conscious, and the mass market of moms n dads. The only branded computers that are any good are Macs. And the TawComp 3000 Intense Gaming Platform/International Retail System, of course.

sweetness sweetness I was only joking when i said, I'd like to smash every tooth in your head..

I wish that I had the chance to work with Macs more often (despite their drawbacks); I haven't even touched one for five years .
