Given current medical advances, that would not be sufficient. Now days, a little therapy makes it possible to compensate by use of another appendage to compensate for the loss of one. You'll have to chop more than hands off. And, if you remember Hawking, he used his teethe and a pencil at one point.

Actually, if I had the power, I'd hire the guy instead (under proper supervision, of course) and make sure he uses his brain for sth worthwile. I do not believe that having come back from imprisonment (if that happens) he would become a better person. I would prefer to take revenge in such a case.

How do you know the stopping of hospital computers and shutting down of their system didn't actually cost lives too? People may have died, hundreds of millions of pounds (most likely several billions) of pounds in man hours and business is lost - and they should just........

meh - forget it, guess my line of thinking whereby people should be held accountable/responsible for their actions, and the widespread damage it causes....and punished accordingly is all wrong.
