New BBQ

I just got a new grill, works great and heets the coals up fast, the best part is that it has intake hole cause its a closed grill so if I hooked a blow dryer up to these holes I could create a blast funace, I wonder what foods I would need this for any sugestions?

What do you mean, "no meaning"? Its grilling season, no topic could be more pertinent to the time of year.

@BEvilR: Buffalo, slow grill off the coals then try your blow-torch idea for the last 2 minutes. Charred buffalo cooked medium rare. *serious drooling*

Also a favorite of mine: get yourself a big, I mean really big, sweet onion. Make slices about an inch thick like you're going to make onion rings but don't seperate the rings. Slap each slice onto doubled foil. Put a heaping teaspoon of brown sugar and a half-cube of beef bullion on top of each slice. Seal the foil and throw it on the grill for about 10-15 minutes. Absolutely delicious.

Ahhhh starting to drown in my own drool. . .
I heard that ox tail needs lots of cooking can you speed up the process by flamn' it?

No, you can't speed up anything by applying flame except the charring process. If you try and grill on the flame you'll end up with burnt outside, raw inside. Just charr at the end of the grilling period to give it the burnt flavor.

You want to talk about drool? Ever since I replied to your post I've been dreaming about grilled corn on the cob, juicy buffalo burgers, beer brats, coleslaw, watermelon and ice cold micro-brew. The worst part is it's 11 pm and I can't start grilling for another 12 hours because I have to coach my kids ball game in the morning. It's gonna be a long 12 hours.

I love a good barbecue, unfortunately a combination of English weather and Murphy's law means that the procdure normally goes like this:
You spot clear skies outside and it's nice and warm
You rummage in the shed to drag the barbecue back out into the open air for the first time in almost a year
Clouds appear on the horizon, you continue anyway, hoping it'll pass over
You get some garden chairs and a table out, the food is ready to be grilled and the first few bits of meat are on
The first few drops of rain start, it's light drizzle (convincing yourself it'll go away any moment now)
Suddenly it changes to torrential downpour, cue drama in the garden as the whole family runs around like headless chickens trying to save the food and keep dry!

On the rare occasion this doesn't happen, nothing tastes better than boerewors, they're difficult to get hold of in the UK, they're like really long spicy sausages and they taste great! Just be careful not to char the crap out of them.

I think that our sausages are the best. Such a big range of flavour, mmmh *drool*...

But we now BBQ every other week (depending on the weather). Its my brothers 18th Bday next friday and his party on sat, it'll be grilling all the way...

I love to grill
