I don't think so. Hell, soon we'll be sending people there. I heard about this insane idea about animals adapting to the enviroment on mars so much in CHANGES the enviroment. You know, ice caps melting and stuff. Not that's possible, but an interesting idea though.

I'm tellin' ya, when I see these pictures, all I think about is the intro to the new My Favorite Martian movie. Then I nearly fall over laughing.

@ShadowFire789: well, eventually we could create a new race, starting with genetically altered colonists able to adapt to hostile environments. I read a book once (can't remember the title, byt they started fighting in the end) about that.

ya i heard something about sending liveing things there, but frist we need to get through the radiation belts. but wasnt they thinking about sending bacteria there to melt the caps and transform the atmospere into an earth based one. then send plants and latter on animals there? just wonderd.

Mars could be a nice place to play sports.
You could climb MT OLimpus, a sleeping volcano high 3 times Mt Everest.
You could ski on the polar caps.
You could go down Valleis marineris, a rift big as 10 Grand canyons.
Or you could have fun on Phobos, where you can lift a 10 tons boulder with your own hands, or you can jump and orbit around this moon tiil you get sick of it.
