I guess I was unclear: You mentioned that you have seen interesting mutations and such with the errant spammers you've seen on TLR. I was fascinated by the possibiity that you might actually be able to catalog them in some way, like in a rogues gallery, you know, name(s) used, subjects involved, typical vocabulary, that sort of thing.

It wasn't about how you figured out accounts at all.

@Indy, I do that, it's called my mind. I keep and catalog every single rampant poster that comes here in my mind.

But depending on what your mindset is, you could consider either cool guy or supersnipa a spammer (his post with just "roflmfao" is sort of spammy ). So that still DOES NOT ANSWER MY SMEGGING QUESTION? I want to hear it from RILMS.

I think this goes to the same lengths here, letting him know he isn't much like is OK with me, but don't go creating a feeding bottom for the little troll to feed on.

@Arania, Good thinking there, do you have any more leads to who is responsible?? It's these kinds of people that kind of make me sick, not just the plain discrimination of Homosexuals here on TLR (yes you read me correct, there are more then this one), but more, as in the brutal abuse of freedom of speech in general.

I would have to agree with Loc. We are basically giving this stupid bastard what he wants; attention, which we should not be doing. We should be deleting his posts, banning his IP and ignoring him. Why give him the satisfaction?

I'll admit that chasing Uba fed his enjoyment. But Hey would have done the same amount of spam irregardless of us. Mullet, fed off it a bit, but I was more experienced to not make it as enjoyable for him. Cool guy, was actually limited to only 13 posts because I turned all of his insults back on him. I didn't make it fun for him and I made sure he knew I was having fun at his expense. He came back the next day and was only able to make 11 posts. This time I was more serious and posed a few questions to him. When he tried to make fun from it, I hit him with another serious question as to the value of his life. He quit pretty fast. As long as you know what you're doing and you can adequately determine the poster's motives, chasing him around isn't a bad thing necessarily.

The whole Uba thing, we all knew we were having fun, him and us, so it continued a lot longer than it should have. It beat watching a rerun. So it was no nevermind to me.
