Atlantis Discovered?

This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

Atlantis Discovered?

I know that we had a topic about this a while ago, but two articles from ABC and The Daily Times state that a US researcher believes that he has discovered Atlantis off the south coast of Cyprus. Interesting stuff (the articles are pretty damn sketchy though).

Maybe now they'll make a better "Aquaman".

Maybe so, Taw. But the researchers are "confident". That means that we should start getting excited!

Taw, if the theroy of language spreading out from mid east area, and early civilizations as well, would it not be logical that Atlantis would be in the near mediterainian area. My therory of it would follow that between spain and morroco may have been closed and when it opened and flooded the med area, atlantas went under.

I doubt that he will Taw; he hangs around in the Bermuda Triangle most of the time .

I think a good posibility, because with eroision, the opening between the 2 is too small for several thousands years if it was always open. Its also shallower in that area if I remember right. Something I read about subs in world war 2.

The alleged discovery has been greeted with barely concealed mirth by the Mediterranean island's tourism office

Even if it were Atlantis though, there probably wouldn't be many clues left as to why it's under the sea...water's pretty destructive in the long term

as taw says this will all come to nothing and i've no doubt about that

People thought Troy was fiction, till it was found. Who knows, maybe there could have been a Atlantis, just not as glamorus as fiction paints it. Concidering the size of the Med, it would take time to map the bottom, but if areas, with peaks, could be mapped, maybe. Anything is possible. Someone once said, ledgens do have a little truth to them.

Apocalypse? It can't happen yet. Even though according to whoever said it I am one of the four spammers of the apocalypse. Actually my seventh grade science teacher has to walk into the library first period in a fuzzy pink hat and cape and jump out the window screaming "It's the apocalypse, run!".

Lemme look out the window. *returns* Actually Atlantis is still settled in my back yard. It hasn't been moved to the mediterranean lately.
