Does anyone know of any free, good music composition programs??

pSYCHO, it can depend on What you want. Ie, do you want one that creates midi's, or that you play the keyboard and it writes the music. However, here is some links for you.

The best music composition program is probably "Sound Forge". It's a professional utility, and it's not free (obviously), but it is excellent.

i'm using this:
noteworthy notation
its not perfect, and you need to take a while to figure out short cuts and all, but it saves into midi, and you can play it back in WMP.

i'm also using ACID foundry thingo to record my guitar, tho i'm still crap . picked it up from download.com.
