I''m Glad I Don''t Live in Florida...
This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

There is an article from the Miami Herald that states that the town of Manalapan will be using cameras to ID every person driving into the town. It's designed to help detect stolen cars etc, but I only hope that this is a joke. It does not bode well for the future... Hang on, I live in Aus.; what am I worried about? Let the good time roll!
Small article. Sound like a safe idea in light of possiblity of robberies. This is done in other areas near where I work. Police can keep an eye on a trouble area and get there before things can get reported. It has caught people dealing drugs.
Also at present, there are several cameras being installed in intersections to photo people running red lights. If you come to atlanta, they have a lot of cameras overlooking the freeways. Not too acurate to get a plate, but the time is coming.

I thought parts of London have been doing this for a while? After watching a John Cleese special on the Human Face, he pointed out that the system they use to ID people, the camera measures distances between points on your face, especially around the eyes. If you don't want to be recognized by tht scanner, always wear glasses, especially sunglasses.

That's not me, Mustang! Those men are under the direct control of the Great Leader!
...gestapo esq police...
I can see why it might be a good idea, however it just seems to be an invasion of privacy to me. Why shouldn't I be able to drive into a city without being scanned, prodded, and subject to genetic testing (metaphorically speaking ).
I'm glad you don't live in Aus., Para .
Aalong the lines of private intrusion into privacy .... all puns intended ... there are other places that are trying to ban digital camera equipped cell-phones when it was discovered that there are pervs out there using them to er, get shots of privates in public bathrooms.... what was that saying about bad things resulting from good intentions?
